Wicker fence = almost zero protection. With around 10 stone axes or 5-6 picks stone can destroy a door of wicker fence.
All are seeking to build a Palisade, which can be broken only with siege weapons. This takes no more than a few hours or one day game. Then the game becomes a safe gaining resources.
PvP battles are not yet at necessary level. the reward is almost entirely pleasure to kill the other and then mock Him on chat:). In the sense that now a battle is either crazy chasing and running type Mad Max until one of the players did not end stamina :)
I witnessed a little more evolved player chasing and killing new players which enter for the first time in the game just because he can.
I know many people will pounce to refute me that they paid money and can do what they want, but ... Having a mount early in the game is a huge advantage. Chasing, running, kill with ease.

It's good game to evolve slowly. Suppose divide a mental game of eras. Stone, copper, bronze, iron, steel, etc. ... Going from one to another must be slow. Currently, for a few days or a week or two, you can get to level made of steel items. And then ... boring ...
