@ZhaoKuro - Bit of a late reply, my apologies.
Yeah, I know the idea is that you start with nothing, but why does nothing have to include not even clothes? It doesn't make a lot of sense.
We are not stranded on a deserted Island after being capsized from a boat and all our clothes have been so torn apart that it only makes sense to leave them off, especially considering we are on a tropical Island.
No, in this game we are grown men and women, who obviously before we, the players, take control of them, have had some form of life and decided to move elsewhere with nothing but their common sense, but they would STILL at least put on some clothes. Especially considering this part of the world where we all decided to settle is cold enough to have many areas of snow. They brought cookies, but decided clothes weren't worth the trouble of putting on?
And sure, if I want pants I can craft them... Like when? 60 hours into the game? So no, I will still vote for starting characters to at least start out with pants and a shirt, no bonuses attached to them, just the fact that you are NOT completely naked.
Realistically speaking, none of our characters would be able to survive.
Anyways, for the sake of completion, I made a seperate post about how I think dominions could be changed to give us players more a sense of community:
I haven't really logged on the past few days, only to keep my dominion from decaying. My friends and I are eager to return though, but this time on a PvP server.
However, I also had some thoughts on how to make the PvP server a little more interesting for the less hardcore PvP-ers, which I detailed here:
We all got excited about the news that there will be things like ruins and such (posted somewhere on another suggestions' thread). I hope that will be implemented well. The map sorely lacks interesting landmarks.
I will say this, though. I got into this game because I missed Ultima Online, and even in early access it hasn't disappointed me. In fact, even this early in early access, it is already doing things better than I feel Ultima Online has done, so for me, the developers are definitely on the right track. I am still happy I bought it, and am very excited for the future!
EDIT: I am super happy to hear that some folkloric creatures are going to be included! I like that there are going to be some very small fantasy elements in this game but that it is going to stay very low fantasy! That makes me happy. I like my fantasy to still be a little bit realistic. No dimension hopping flying lightning breathing snakes please, giant rats or spiders or something are way cooler! So I am very excited for the next updates!!
I look forward to hearing from @Nightmare about some of my thoughts.
