I dont know yet where the game go, if it will be Survivor Fight stuff like just growing strong to kill new mobs that will came, or will go more to Sandbox stuff with constructing more and more new things or anything way different that we are now..
I have one big suggestion, but i guess this is not to be implemented by now, but just keep in mind if we can start think the game grow to that side
What im thinking about is the game grow a bit more to the trade side, in general i think about you build villages and cities with 1 or more players, start build hierarchy inside thoses cities, and make one interact with other like doing trades.
Lets split a bit the thought
1 - Villages/Cities
Maybe in future you can merge one domain with other and define one as main that will get a bit more space when merged (and the other one will not be use anymore only if you unmerge), or you build a different kind com domain, you give up to have you own domain to build a shared domain that can be built only with 2 players or more, and you start to split that shared domain between the players and allow they to construction and invite more citizans to live there and get some beneficts, so instead of building great farms and constructions with you domain, you will start in building houses in a bit more small places and use some of shared constructions yo build you stuffs and etc...
- 1.1 - Taxes
As the players join your city you can collect taxes to use it to grow the city, get better walls, construction, castles...
The taxes can be applied by day, week, month, or by each time you get reward by working in the city (job section bellow), or using city Craft Tools (like Forge and stuf...) nothing as Hurge taxes, but small to help the city grow
So more players equals more collected taxes equals high the city grows
Each City Domain increases the number of allowed players to live there
As the leadership of cities grow can start build some internal fights, so players can abandon the city and start a new one, or even go to enemy city, of some friends that have started in one city decided build one neutral village...
2 - Traders
You can build a Cart to trade materials between cities, the far the city is the higher the bonus from selling your things there.
To make this work must have a bit more thinking in how to do it, lets see some options
2.1 - NPCS
We can do it with npcs, every city have one npc that you can interact to set contracts of selling, so you start delivering some materials from you city and selling to another, the city that is buying get something (gold, spices or the materials...) and who is selling get something too... (more thinking pls)
2.2 - Players:
Peoples or Clans that rule the city can set contract between other cities, so everything is controlled by players, so i can ask something to make a contract with my im requiring Woods, and after that contract is accepted by both parts i do start my trade to that city
3 - Dangerious Roads
While transporting the cart dangerious animals can just attack you since we have aggresive animals already like wolves and bears (maybe bit more in future), so the road always will be hard, maybe will try a longer way to avoid that monster, or you can try fight them
Ps.: In PVP server players can try to steal you by killing you and looting your goods
- 3.1 - Npcs:
Maybe can setup some "human" mobs to appear near that carts to try to kill you and stuff...
Ps: At some points players will start to build a roads (using the Terrain in constructing) to make more easiear the path
4 - Jobs
With cities and traders we can think more about job system
- 4.1 Hunters
They can accept contract with traders to get % of profits when the trader is completed so that hunters will protect the goods until the get the goal (instead of regular party system, after contract is made you will see them in green alerts instead of blue ones to not mess up with party)
- 4.2 Other jobs
Inside a big cities can have or not places to farm, so instead you do anything by yourself by you usualy do with you single domain, you will start to split the jobs, so one player that have agriculture at higher level will be the farmer**, so players can start choicing in being **blacksmith, taylorsmith, chief cook,, miner, hunter, stoneworker, woodworker... ** and you can star growing together, but that IS NOT A RULE, you can still choice live by yourself, build you big domain by yourself, or working or not in that cities
Why do i think about that?
R - I realy like sandbox games, and what i think make it stronger is the capability that players can control the trade like the real work, the need makes the prices grow, the opposite make the prices fall
Why do you think that can help the game grow?
R - This will make players interact more, instead of living by hisself and having to do all alone that times start to get bored (like farm 1k copper stone alone to try to constrct something)
If we implement that, how do you see the game in future?
R - Great castles, cities, small villages, all interacting by theirself or not, you can be a alone kingdom, so in PVP servers you can start doing sieges to destroy other cities, or collect they good (like my main chest when will save most of you itens) or collect itens you have collected by taxes
