Apparently a resolution (perceptible yesterday) has decayed. I've completed 2 rounds in 5 castles int Tepium server and found less than 10 iron bolders. Perhaps an idea is to randomize the respaw time. That way never a player could get all the available irons and control the time to return to pick up again.
I think respawn time and amount of iron is fine. That said, I too have noticed that during certain times there is no iron to be found.
I believe this is due to the fact that there are more players in European time zones, and during peak gaming time, players are like a train running through the disputed lands mining. I live in NA and as long as I do not mine during the times that most of the European players are online, I can find iron without issue.
@Trutan , I do not know a solution other than to adjust mining times like I have in order to get iron. To increase iron spawn much more may have a serious effect on the game economy and create more issues than solutions.
In fact, I play a lot longer than it's convenient. Play from 7am UTC to 12pm UTC. I'm not talking about raising the number of respaw, but randomizing the respaw time, avoiding that few players dominate the time of respaw and have an industrial volume of iron while others have none. My idea is more to facilitate the distribution of irons without ruining the trade
We need a reworked system for iron mining. For example on ventar are the same people from the 2 biggest guilds who farm the whole iron. And groups with less people have a chance (maybe) to get one ore. What I want to say with it some people have the bag full iron and other nothing. Now my suggestion : limit the mining of ore per day depend on the mining skill. For example with skill 30 you can mining 30 ore per day with higher skill more. With enough people you get enough iron and the way with mines and loot other players for iron is also possible. With this system have smaler groups also the chance to get iron, not only the camper which farms every hour. This system is affect only the miningskill with normal nodes. (keep in mind its only a suggestion)

@Strateg We have been trying to come up with ideas for a while now, but they all seem to have serious consequences to the economy, etc., which I agree with you that the current system is probably about as polished as it can be. That said, I have an idea that may work.
How about instead of increasing spawn rates, and numerous other things that have been requested, keep the spawn rate the same, just make iron spawn randomly everywhere on the map, not just disputed lands. Sure this will make iron harder to get in large quantities and small time investment, but it would keep the economy and value strong. It would also stop all the campers and guilds that mine iron 24/7 around the clock from getting it all. Nothing else would have to be changed, and everyone would have the same chance to find iron.
@dolomiteX your system was already in the game but you have less pvp with this. The core idea with the iron in the disputed lands are that the players fight for the iron, this current system is good so far but not final only the big guilds farm 24/7 and reach iron/steel armor..a newbie cant fight for iron. The spawnrate are good,higher spawn rates make no sense,it brings only more iron for the campers.
@Dopsen I can see your point and agree to an extent because each server is different in regards to PvP, but that said, I do not think there will be much of an effect on PvP as you believe. Players that want to attack other players will do so anywhere not just the disputed lands. If anything, this may increase PvP because it will create more curiosity for players not knowing if their victim has a backpack full of iron or just seeds. Also, this will create a sense of realism and dread for PvP players because now you will never know where the Guild mobs are, or when you will be attacked in force. Right now, everyone knows where most of the guildies are hanging out so they do not fear many areas of the map. By randomizing iron spawn all over the map, now guild player mobs can be anywhere, and there would no longer be guilds having the monopoly on iron. Everyone would have a fair chance at getting it, and the atmosphere of the game would become extremely intense, and more fun...Just my thoughts... :)
