we are only testing the mechanics of the zones, it will still be adjusted. By the way, on the Russian server, several people have fenced off the whole War Zone and did not allowed none there for resources :)

The point is not so much that we have decay - it is more a matter of risk versus reward.
Since the introduction of the safe zone, i have a feeling the game took a step back.
Yes it is great that people can build and play in safety, but they can now do so and still harass people that build in risky zones.
In my opinion, there should be a reward for building in risky zones, or if you want to reverse that, a penalty for building in safe zones.
Possible reward ideas could be: higher yield when mining ore, or weapons do 50% more damage, or any reward that is worth taking risk to build in risky zones.
Possible penalties could be: if you build in the safe zone you cannot loot corpses, or your weapons do 50% less damage, or any penalty that makes building in the safe zone more balanced.
Also - i do not feel that the current ballista/battering ram mechanics stimulate sieging castles. The only way you can siege and not have your ballista/ram destroyed 99% of the time is by using a second account to place a dominion next to the opponent.
What fun is that?
Any other way will 99% result in destroyed siege equipment (or you have to stand in one spot 8 hours with a group to defend, no fun either)
I do not know the solution because you also do not want people to lose their castles too easily. All i can say is, the current mechanics need a change.
