Here are a few suggestions i just though up!
Sorry for the wall of text and these are just ideas, i understand the game is in very early development i love it already and thanks for the great game guys!
having gear is fun but you should add more depth to it later, maybe add some rings and necklaces that add some stats such as a chance to crit or luck, luck would affect things like giving you 2-5 times extra of what you are gathering, or constitution stats that give more max hp or something like that.
Combat is a little broken right now, you should make people run a bit slower and have some sort of way to slow people down with a melee weapon, at the moment people with light armor can out run anyone and you can hardly stab them because the animation for stabbing takes a little to long. Hunting is a little broke as well. you can just make fences and animals cant break them, then you run around aggro animals run into the fence and shoot them over it.
I dont know if you guys like the idea of permanently gaining stats but what if food helped you gain stats forever kinda like a skill system, you could have a cap to all stats at some point to negate this from being over powered. thus adding a little depth to grinding food out :)
