Not keen on the idea of taxation unless you have a way to opt out or if they are voluntary contributions. Taxation is essentially a form of theft by force. Not acceptable to me.

Alternate suggestion to villages/cities (when the game is far out of alpha/beta and in full release most likely):
Lets say when you've done all of your research and maxed out your skills, you have the option to "move" to a new server that is essentialy the next era of development.

    In this case,

Stage 1 is the learning stage, like WTO is now. Hunt craft, learn skills, practice them, become acquainted with the locals... etc

Stage 2 could be villages/cities with a player run social and/or political structure. (current / modern era) While this aspect is either a love or hate relationship, it is likely a necessary step in the evolution of society to experience and move beyond.

Stage 3 could be perhaps a form of utopia where the focus is on technological advancement and improving the overall human condition. This could lead to perhaps space exploration which opens up a HUGE plethera of new crafting / skill sets and game play.

In my experience in both games and life, for many years; is that if people are left to control their sandbox, they tend to mimic the already established governmental and economic strutures which are nothing more than control mechanisms. Herd mentality, so-to-speak.

With that being said, I love the sandbox concept. Being able to do and control as many environment variables as possible in a game makes for a great diversity in possibilities and fun. However, a proverbial waypoint to steer the direction towards something that isn't a form of governmental, sociological or economic slavery under the guise of freedom; would be ideal.

Positions of power and/or control over other players; This is where things become dangerous - I've played several games that have had systems like this and it always leads to 3 classes of players.

    1. The political power hungary guru who want to make everything the way they want it at the expense of everyone else. They will lie, cheat and steal their way to accomplish their means to an end without remorse or conscience.
    2. The ones who want to be helpful and participate in these roles of "power" to be supportive but in reality they end up supporting the sociopaths. Additionally the temptation for abuse of power always exists and is more often than not, exploited.
    3. The ones who avoid 1 and 2 at all cost because they do not like the idea of being controlled.

Agree with this idea. It makes logistical sense. Additionally, from what I've seen so far, it is difficult to acquire help in obtaining a bear hide. The popularity doesn't seem high enough in the servers (yet or at least the one I'm on) for the law of averages to work out. I understand that there must be things that can't be done solo but the carcasses is a great suggestion.

If the devs were amenable I'd be happy with the possibility of having more than one character per account as well. It could provide more diversity in game play.

    1. For as much time as it takes to tan hides, it would be nice gain leatherworking experience for the different tanning stages.

Hello all, loving the game so far.

Just a couple suggestions / ideas for now. More to follow probably lol.

    1. If you have a mount, maybe your mount can also have storage? (Saddle bags for horses, for example)

    2. If you're on a bear mount, maybe bears won't be hostile towards you as easily?

    3. Not my intention to be insulting but the chat is terrible and I think that many more would chat if it was better integrated into the client. The text is too small and isn't adjustable without changing the zoom factor which limits range of vision... it's hard to use and interrupts gameplay if it's open. The chat needs a complete overhaul. Also, why are there two English channels? If the game is intended to be English, maybe just one? I always see confusion in this area.

    4. It doesn't seem all that realistic to have to eat 30+ times a day. I can understand having to eat to increase stamina but the starvation factor is completely unrealistic. Too much gluttony lol.

    5. Maybe the animals could randomly excrete? Perhaps just mounts? Fertilizer, tanning, mushroom harvesting?

Thank you all for your time. Hope you're having as much fun as I am.

Does anyone else miss the full screen button outside of the menu as I do? I used it frequently to switch in/out of full screen all the time but now I have to go through the menu and turn it off/on twice to accomplish the same task.

    Greetings.

I agree that splitting people up would be a bad idea. The current server population is not enjoyable. It's too underpopulated. Currently would say that it could easily be 100 to 200% more populated comfortably.

    IRON:
I have a suggestion about the iron issue. I'm dealing with this issue myself now. It is VERY difficult, time consuming and tedious to acquire in any sufficient amount to be useful without getting older too fast.

The game has something called "Raw Iron Ore", you can find it in the Crafting menu to turn it into "Iron Ore" which is the same as what the Iron Deposits provide. The issue here is, I don't see "Raw Iron Ore" in the game anywhere. A great solution to increasing resources might be to add actual MINES.

It seems like this may have already been a possibility considering the wording of the item. "Process raw iron ore from the mines". What mines? lol

PvP/PvE - IT does seem unreasonable to require that players enter a PvP area on a PvE server to acquire necessary items. That's the whole point of having two servers. One for PvE and one for PvP. I like the idea of the guild "war" concept and being able to fight with other players over castles but it should not come at a cost to the player to do so.

    Thank you.
